Meet Marcell — Founder of Super Efeito Maravilha
Hi, I’m Marcell Johnson — a personal finance writer, CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™) certified by the CFP Board, lifelong learner, and the founder of Super Efeito Maravilha.
My journey into finance started with frustration.
Like many people, I was once overwhelmed by student loans, credit card debt, and a constant sense that my money was slipping through the cracks.
I knew I needed to take control — so I dove deep into understanding personal finance from the ground up.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in 2014 and went on to complete my Master of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2017.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked with fintech startups, contributed to financial literacy nonprofits, and helped hundreds of readers and clients make smarter money decisions.
This blog was born out of a simple belief: that financial knowledge shouldn’t be reserved for experts. Everyone deserves tools, clarity, and encouragement — no matter where they’re starting from.
Super Efeito Maravilha is my way of sharing what I’ve learned through both education and real-world experience. My goal? To make finance feel less intimidating — and more empowering.
